Our Process

Step 1: Understanding

We get to know and listen to each other, ask questions and answer in detail.

• Talking & chatting to better understand the task.
• Defining main goals and needs.
• Collecting existing materials and thoughts.
• Searching for solution options and appropriate examples.

Step 2: Story

This phase needs a very tight collaboration and synergy.

• Defining the skeleton of the story: what for start and how to finish.
• Proposing a few high-level ideas with mood boards or examples.
• Collaborative writing a text. Usually, any proposed text will be rewritten by the client, because no one can know your product better than you. And it's OK.

Step 3: Design

We start to play with fonts, colors, and sizes.

• Drawing & designing a full set of scenes.
• You choose a voice, we record a voiceover.
• Animatic: video with voiceover, music and static scenes to feel future animation dynamics. Usually, that step can indicate some gaps in the timing.

Step 4: Animation

This phase is the longest, always needs more time and will check your patience skills.

It's time for an animation routine. We are always trying to define reusable elements to speed-up process, but don't forget that from the other side — each project is unique. Keep calm and wait!

Step 5: Delivery

When animation complete, we finalize music and start to work on sound effects. Also, you can ask to prepare different versions for different needs or different timing with different endings, etc - it needs additional time for editing and mixing. By the way, we in love with sound effects, because they make animated elements alive, therefore, at every opportunity, we will refine them in parallel with other processes.
